Discover Ipswich

My family and I have lived in Ipswich, Queensland, for the
last 14 years and there are still so many hidden gems that we are yet to
discover. Sometimes our busy routines hold us back from venturing out, we fall
into the trap of it’s easier to stick with what we know; sometimes we just don’t
know these fantastic locations even exist.

It’s so exciting to be teaming up with Discover Ipswich to
share with you some “go to places” in Ipswich. I’m so grateful that I will get
to broaden my knowledge of the area we call our home by getting out, exploring
and discovering areas of Ipswich that I haven’t been to.  From events, hikes and adventures to local
cafes and boutique shops; I can’t wait to share with you these gorgeous places,
that even after 14 years I didn’t even realise were here!

An extremely fortunate way to kick off my adventures this
month was by being invited to experience an extremely remarkable massage from
Ipswich Massage and Herbal Spa. This gorgeous, tranquil place is positioned in
the city of Ipswich and has so much history within the walls of their building.
With some amazing therapies on offer from massages, beauty therapy to herbal
medicine, this spa is truly amazing. With a philosophy of embracing lifelong
learning and development, they propose that tranquillity need not be found in
any specific location but, with the right tools, it can be discovered within oneself,
by exploring body, mind and spirit. If you are looking to de-stress or for a
great Christmas gift idea, I highly recommend Ipswich Massage and Herbal Spa. I
am not usually a massage type of person and I always struggle to switch off,
however I came out feeling so relaxed and fulfilled and that’s a feeling that I’d
love to share.

Right down the road from Ipswich Massage and Herbal Spa, tucked
away in Ellenborough St, sits a cute little café called Rafter and Rose. The
first thing you will notice about Rafter and Rose is the Secret Garden style laneway
entry. The outdoor area is full of beautiful greenery, upcycled furnishings
which encompasses that tranquil feeling.  While venturing inside has so many beautiful pieces
and trinkets, the kids and I had a wonderful time exploring all the old books
and little treasures we could discover in the reading nook.  With a wide variety of food and drinks, served
by the genuinely friendly and helpful Rafter and Rose team, it’s the perfect
place to head to after a relaxing massage or sneak a catch up with friends in.

These amazing places are worth checking out if you are in
the Ipswich area.
