1 - Positive Attitude
A positive attitude goes a long way to health and well being, it can help eliminate stress and create better coping skills. Research shows that a positive outlook can help you live longer. Self talk, self check and following a healthy lifestyle are great ways to keep you on track and remaining positive. It’s also proven that when rough times hit, those who practise positivity in everyday life are able to handle situations with a clearer mind and better attitude.
2 - Eat right
Eating right can be a challenge, especially when you're a busy mum. One thing to focus on is making sure you sit down for your meals and as tempting as it is (we are all guilty) don’t eat off your kids plates! take time out for yourself and eat a proper meal.
3 - Love Yourself
Self Love is Something we all struggle with, start to become aware of your inner voice and how you treat yourself. Pay attention to what your voice tells you, take control of that voice. Start catching the negativity and changing the way you talk and think about yourself. It doesn't happen overnight but small steps in the right direction and practising positive inner talk, really does make such a difference to your well being.
4 - Sleep enough
It is a known fact that mums do not get enough sleep, no matter how old your children are, sleep is always interrupted. It’s important to try and prioritise sleep as best as you can. Having a good sleep can decrease stress, improve your mood, enhance concentration and keep illness at bay.
5 - Exercise because you love your body
Exercising because you love your body not because you hate it is such great advice. Exercising releases endorphins and is proven to put us in a good mood and clear our heads. Even a small daily walk can do wonders for your mind. Your body is amazing; it has done and can do amazing things so remember that.
